Music forms an integral part of worship at First Presbyterian Church. Our congregation is blessed with a number of talented people eager to share their gifts by teaching, directing, and performing.
Learning hymns and songs begins at an early age. Bonnie Donnelly directs our Children's Choir, which meets in the Chapel, for 15 minutes each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. The children sing in worship on the first and third Sundays of each month.
For people who love music but prefer instrumental to vocal music, there is a handbell choir. The Westminster Bells, under the direction of Denise Holmes, meets every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
Peter Sour, our Music Director, coordinates all our music programs and directs the adult vocal choir, the Chancel Choir, which meets Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to join any of the choirs and all are encouraged to praise God with music.
