Pastor: Reverend David R. Smith

Pastor David Smith began his ministry at Marietta in March of 2013. He came to the ministry as a second career, after working for IBM and then Lexmark as a computer engineer. His undergraduate degree was in Computer Science from Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and he received his Masters of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary. He served in Hartford City, Indiana as pastor for 15 years before coming to Marietta.

Pastor David wants to see our congregation grow as a community of faith where all are welcome and where each member is able to share his or her gifts. He believes the church is a place where we can experience God’s healing grace and love in our lives. We are called to go forth to share God’s grace and love with others.
