Activities Organized by E & D

(Evangelism and Discipleship)

Fun Nights

Held periodically throughout the year, Fun Nights are themed parties meant to bring all generations of the church together for casual fellowship. Past Fun Nights have included a Bingo party, an Iron Chef style cooking competition and a Wii Bowling Tournament. Outside friends are always welcome and there is always plenty of fun and food to be had, resulting in an enjoyable evening for all.

Dinners for Eight

Groups of eight members or friends of our congregation gather together once a month to dine and share fellowship. Depending on the desires of the group, some dinners are enjoyed at local restaurants and others at private homes. Some groups might share fellowship with a potluck meal and a croquet game, all in good fun. Some groups even work an extra activity into the evening such as viewing a play or concert. No matter the details of the evening, Dinners for Eight are always a great way for our members and friends to connect with each other and build friendships.

Manna is our Wednesday time for food, fellowship, and inspiration. See the Manna page for detailed information.

Outside the Church Walls

E & D facilitates many events and activities outside of our church walls and we welcome you in joining or bringing a friend or two. Some of the favorites include the Spring Picnic, where dinner can be flanked with golf and/or mini-golf before and after the meal, and the Fall Picnic where a massive bouncy house/maze/slide keeps the kids so busy, they scarcely want to stop and eat.

Once or twice a year, On the Go Presby Travelers are organized to spend a day seeing and learning about attractions an hour or two from home, then finding a spot to wind our day down with dinner together.

Parents Night Out is another event that E & D plans from time to time to give congregational parents some “grown up time!” It is a time to relax without children on hand, and share in the camaraderie that all parents share.

During Advent,  E & D arranges an After”Caroling on the Trolley”outing a light dinner and hot chocolate for those hardy souls who gather on the Trolley to bring Holiday Cheer and Christmas Carols to folks unable to get out of their homes for such festivity.

No matter what season of the year, the Evangelism and Discipleship committee is always looking for new ways to strengthen congregational bonds, provide fellowship time, and welcome outsiders into our community. Please let us know if you can think of other activities to try.
